Brief
of the Scheme:
The scheme is to filter the best among the better to
declare them eligible for Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates in NCHMCT
affiliated IHMs and will be known as NHTET Scheme
The scheme will be applicable to the citizen of India
who fulfils the other eligibility criteria prescribed under this scheme.
The candidate declared eligible for Assistant Lecturer
or Teaching Associates will have the only right to apply against any vacancy,
if announced by NCHMCT affiliated any IHM, irrespective of either Central Govt.
Institute, State Govt. Institute, PSU Institute or Private Institute. The NHTET
qualified candidate will not have any right of automatic induction in NCHMCT
affiliated any IHM.
They have to face a separate selection process for
induction as Assistant lecturer or Teaching Associates to be conducted by the
individual institute.
Any NCHMCT affiliated IHM shall not recruit any
teaching faculty under direct recruitment against any regular vacancy if the
candidate does not have a valid NHTET pass certificate.
Required Qualification
- Candidates must have done their full time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management after 10+2 form a recognized University with at least 60% marks with at least 2 years industry experience after obtaining Degree (or)
- Candidates should have completed their Full time Master’s Degree in Hospitality Administration / Hotel Management after Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration / Hotel Management from a recognized University with at least 60% marks either in Bachelor or Master’s Degree
- Applicants appearing in the final semester/ final year exam of the master’s degree and have passed all subjects of previous year/ semester, and also having Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality
- Administration/ Hotel Management from a recognized University with at least 60% marks, may also apply

submit given below application fee through a demand draft drawn in favour of
NCHMCT payable at Noida or Delhi)

fee via a Demand Draft to reach NHMCT by June at this address:

For General/OBC categories (male candidates only): Rs. 800
For all female candidates as well as SC/ST/PD categories: Rs. 400.
Age Limit:
- For General Category: 30 years
- For OBC Category: 33 years
- For SC/ST and PD Categories: 35 years
NHTET
Scheme
- The Test will consist of three papers.
- All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held once in a calendar year.
- However, in case of insufficient candidates are qualified, the NCHMCT can hold the exam twice in a calendar year.
The
test will be operated on a single day in 2 separate sessions as under:
- Paper-I: First (1 hour from 09.00 am to 10.00 am) - 50 Questions; 100 Marks (each question will carry 2 marks)
- Paper-II: First (1 hour, from 10.30 am to 11.30 am) - 50 Questions; 100 Marks (each question will carry 2 marks)
- Paper-III: Second (2 hours, from 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm) - 100 Questions; 200 Marks (each question will carry 2 marks)
- Paper-I, II: Negative Marking - ½ marks for each wrong answer or for double attempted
- Paper-III: Negative Marking - 0 marks for the questions not attempted
- Applicants are required to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the Test Booklet
- The detailed instructions for filling up the OMR Sheet will be mentioned in the call letter/ hall ticket

- At first, candidates should open official site that is www.thims.gov.in
- Go to “NCHMCT National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test” section and open it
- Read complete info of notice.
- Now candidates are required to fill the form very carefully.
- Upload scanned image and signature
- Press on the submit tab
- At last take a print out of submitted form and send it at the right address that is available under official notification.
